Parking
There are two main car parks here. Lower Lodges is the first you come to as you enter the park through the main entrance off the A27. The adventure playground and kosk are located here.
Alternatively, follow the directions through the estate to the main car park (Patchway), which is conveniently located for One Garden Brighton and Stanmer Country House.
It takes approx. 20 mins to walk from one car park to the other.
Walking:
There are no surfaced paths here. In the open parkland the short grassy trails can be steep in places, however families with pushchairs should be able to find a suitable route. There are a number of easy access routes laid through the woods, which in dry weather, are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. These paths are unsurfaced and can become muddy in the winter months. Other routes/paths may be accessible to wheelchair users with assistance.
One Garden Brighton
Free to enter, One Garden is a destination garden! Standing on the site of the former kitchen gardens of Stanmer House the walled gardens have been fully restored to include a cafe, market area and public gardens. A great place for a wander or to meet friends. Dogs (on leads) are welcome in all indoor and outdoor areas.
Play
The lovely adventure playground (opened in 2020) can be found in the Lower Lodges area of the park, adjacent to the Circa in the Park kiosk. Bike hire is also available from the kiosk.
Stanmer Village
Stanmer village is located beside Stanmer House (which is adjacent to One Garden Brighton). The church is open to visitors every Sunday from 2-4pm during winter and 2-5pm from when the clocks go forward in Spring.
Eating & Drinking
Circa in the Park Kiosk - located by the Lower Lodges car park serves savoury and sweet treats, ice creams and refreshments to take away
One Kitchen - located within the One Garden Brighton complex, offers relaxed, family-friendly dining specialising in seasonal dishes and local produce. Indoor and outdoor terrace seating available.
Stanmer Tea Rooms - traditional tea rooms in the heart of Stanmer village
Toilet facilites
Public and disabled toilets can be found opposite Stanmer Tea Rooms, at the Circa in the Park kiosk and within the walled garden (One Garden Brighton).
