Harting Down is a large area of open chalk downland, managed by the National Trust. If you have a buggy you can access Harting Down from the car park along the South Downs Way, which has a firm surface, but can become muddy in winter. Be prepared for some steep gradients in places.
Dogs are welcome but must be under close control at all times. Please observe signs and take extra care with your dog when there are cows or sheep grazing on the Downs.
