The walk traverses Lewes golf course - take care here! Give way to golfers and ensure that dogs are kept on a lead. From the top of the golf course you can enjoy spectacular views over the historic town below. Follow the undulating trail over to Saxon Cross, before returning back the way you came (see map).
When we visited, there was one stile (just beyond the golf course) which didn't have dog access. We had to lift our Golden Retriever over (rather inelegantly)!
Getting There:
From the car park, walk down the beautiful cobbled Cliffe High Street - home to several antique shops and independent stores. Continue along Chapel Hill and follow the footpath signs to the golf course.
