There are various routes to choose from (see map). However, whether you are planning just a short stroll or a longer day out, be sure to include a visit to the Upper Pond for fine views of Petworth House. Walking along grassy rides, the terrain is relatively mud-free even in winter; however it is worth pointing out that some walking trails (around the perimeter of the park) involve rough terrain with some steep hills.
Dogs are welcome here but must be kept on a lead (due to the deer). Please ensure the park remains a place to be enjoyed, by picking up after your dog.
Takeaway refreshments can be purchased from a lovely Airstream kiosk in the car park (Weds-Sun). Alternatively, bring a picnic and make a day of your visit.
