Walking on chalk grassland, the path is well-drained and remains relatively mud-free all year. The route is undulating, but does not involve any steep hills.
Forming part of the South Downs Way, the route is suitable for proficient cyclists (mountain bikes advised). It is a great place to exercise dogs off-lead too.
There is a lovely pub in the village - The Ram Inn. It is picture-perfect, and therefore popular!
