Begin your visit with a stop at the Visitor Centre. Browse the gifts and local crafts on sale or chat to the friendly team who will be happy to help you plan your visit. Find walking difficult? It's possible to hire one of two all-terrain mobility scooters from the Visitor Centre. Advanced booking is advised.

A Grab and Go snack kiosk and toilets (including an accessible Changing Places toilet) can be found in the courtyard behind the Visitor Centre.

Please note that the concrete path becomes a stone track for the latter section of the walk. Whilst a little bumpier, it is still generally wheel-compatible, although it may be necessary to push scooters in some places. There is no wheel access to the beach itself, which is pebbly.

This walk is dog-friendly, however, dogs need to be kept on a lead around grazing livestock (sheep often graze beside the river). Please pick up after your dog.

Alternative parking can be found behind the Visitor Centre (accessed from the Littlington Road).
